HLTAID011 PROVIDE FIRST AID (INCLUDES CPR) TRAINING

Do you need first aid and CPR training this week? Our CPR training courses are considered the best—they are informative with up-to-date information. This is a one-day course of face-to-face training which includes scenarios, practicals and a written assessment covering all aspects of first aid training to align with the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

TOPICS INCLUDED IN THE SESSION:

• CPR COMPONENT
• DRSABCD Emergency action plan
• Two (2) minutes of uninterrupted CPR
• Procedures for dealing with major and minor injury and illness
• Priorities of management in First Aid when dealing with life threatening conditions
• Basic workplace health and safety requirements in the provision of First Aid
• Infection control principles and procedures
• Chain of survival
• Understanding and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Duty of care
• Cultural awareness
• Importance of debriefing and recording

First Aid management of:



• Wounds
• Bleeding
• Burns
• Abdominal injuries
• Allergic reactions
• Altered or loss of consciousness
• Cardiac arrest, heart conditions, angina and chest pain
• Non-responsive casualty – no sign of life
• Choking/airway obstruction
• Injuries: cold and crush injuries; eye and ear injuries; head, neck and spinal injuries; minor skin injuries; needle stick injuries; soft tissue injuries
• All bites and stings
• Environmental factors that may cause the following conditions: hypothermia; hyperthermia; dehydration; heatstroke
• Fractures – Sling applications/immobilisation
• Medical conditions, including epilepsy, diabetes stroke and asthma
• Near drowning
• Poisoning and toxic substances, including chemical contamination
• Shock
• Substance misuse – common drugs and alcohol, including illicit drugs
• Stress awareness for the casualty and the responder

Reward: Statement of Attainment Certificate for the units –HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and including HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

Renewal: Provide First Aid requires renewal every three years from date of issue, as per Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines

CPR component is valid for twelve (12) months from date of issue, as per Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines

HLTAID015 PROVIDE ADVANCED RESUSCITATION AND OXYGEN THERAPY

TOPICS INCLUDED IN THIS SESSION:

• DRSABCD Emergency action plan
• CPR
• Using O2 Cylinders and resuscitation masks
• Basic Workplace health and safety requirements in the provision of First Aid
• Infection control principles and procedures
• Chain of survival
• Understanding and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Duty of care
• Cultural awareness

Duration is 3.5–5 hours

Reward: Statement of Attainment Certificate for the units:

HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy, 

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Renewal: HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation requires renewal every year from date of issue, as per Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines

CPR component is valid for twelve (12) months from date of issue, as per Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines

CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

This course allows you to advance your career and offer specialised service within the aged care Industry. You will be able to take on more responsibility and leadership roles, complete specialised tasks and be more involved in individualised care planning. RPL is available if you have a current Certificate III in Individual Support.
